CHR Group acquires Octopus HACCP and accelerates its expansion among leading multi-site operators

An acquisition that strengthens the Group’s food safety and operations digitalisation expertise, while supporting its international ambitions.

Madrid, 3 November 2026 – CHR Group, a European leader in digital solutions for food safety, compliance and operations management across commercial foodservice, contract catering and specialist food retail, announces the acquisition of Octopus HACCP, whose solution is used by 6,500 establishments.

Following the acquisitions of rmoni and Andy in 2026, this transaction marks a new stage in CHR Group’s strategy: moving beyond a leadership position in HACCP digitalisation to build a genuine Foodservice Operating System, enabling professionals to manage their operations and financial performance.

In a sector still shaped by manual processes, CHR Group is building on its food safety expertise to extend its offering across the full scope of operations. By combining software, connected sensors, data and artificial intelligence, the Group aims to simplify teams’ day-to-day work, automate tasks and improve site performance.

The integration of Octopus HACCP supports this evolution through its experience with major accounts and its digital customer-acquisition expertise. It strengthens CHR Group’s presence among major foodservice chains and supports its international expansion.

Stéphane Ankaoua, President of CHR Group: “With Octopus HACCP, we are accelerating our ambition: to build the leading technology platform for out-of-home foodservice, hospitality and large-scale retail. By bringing together our expertise, we are turning food safety and day-to-day operations into drivers of performance for every customer, from independent operators to major international chains.”

Founded in 2015, Octopus HACCP provides a mobile app for HACCP monitoring and food safety management in commercial foodservice and contract catering. Used in 6,500 establishments, its solution stands out for its ease of use, strong digital presence and close relationships with industry professionals.

Its structured, automated customer onboarding processes make it easier for operational teams to adopt the solution and roll it out at scale. Primarily established in France, Octopus HACCP also operates in other European countries, Morocco and France’s overseas territories. Its customers include Quick, Columbus Café and Foodles.

Gwenaël Avertis, co-founder of Octopus HACCP: “This new chapter for Octopus HACCP is tremendously exciting. Working side by side with CHR Group, we will be able to keep delivering value and service to our customers, helping them guarantee food safety at their establishments, implement their processes and make their day-to-day work easier—all across Europe.”

Jérôme Bourjal, co-founder of Octopus HACCP: “I am immensely proud of what we have achieved over more than 10 years with our teams, customers and partners, all of whom have helped Octopus HACCP grow by putting their trust in us and challenging us to keep improving. This new chapter will enable us to go even further, with strong ambition and, above all, a shared vision of what we want to build together. I am very pleased to continue this journey alongside the CHR Group teams.”
